Answers

— Such devices exist, and prices of most of them begin with 10 000 – 15 000 rubles. Timber and grain do not require extra accuracy.

— Our analyzer is based on the direct method of measurements of humidity by drying. The devices for 10 – 15 thousands rubles are devices for indirect measurements based on some other physical parameter: either electric conduction (needle moisture meters are used for timber), or permittivity (capacitance moisture meter are more often used for bulk materials, such as grain). These are devices for express-analysis. The measure quickly but they also have an error, at best, of 1 – 2 %. While an error during mutual payments at purchase/sale of grain should be not less than 0.5 %.

— Your device has low accuracy. Other humidity analyzers have a lower error.

— The labeled absolute error of measurements ±0.3 % with indicator discreteness equal to 0.1 is enough in many cases. While the error of foreign analyzers and moisture meters is not even reported. More often the value of indicator discreteness is reported equal to 0.01/0.001, and it results in confusion.
You should not require extra accuracy of the analyzer «SOLO». It is a compact device of some other type. The error of measurements ±0.3 % is a result of device's simplicity and compactness. If someone needs more accurate measurements, use a more expensive device.

— How much is the sample of 1 g representational? Is it enough for evaluation of humidity of a big volume of the product?

— When the humidity of a big volume of product (for example, of grain) is measured, then several small samples are taken from different locations. The samples are for sure mixed during comminution. The measured sample of 1 g can represent the humidity of the whole volume of the tested product with sufficient degree of accuracy.
The same method can be applied to other products. The flour does not require comminution, while taking of several small samples and mixing them does not present a difficulty. I think that this quantity is enough for the labeled measurement error.

— What is the time of one measurement? What is an interval between two measurements?

— Time of drying, to a greater extent, depends on the product itself, but not on the humidity analyzer. Drying mode in different analyzers is almost the same. The time of drying can be reduced, if the sample is placed as thinner layer. The smaller is the sample, the easier is the way to achieve it.
A significant period of time is required for known analyzers in order to let the drying chamber cool before the next measurement. Otherwise, a great error arises during measurement. The existing analyzers do not have a forced cooling system and the interval between measurements is long.
The construction of the analyzer «SOLO» allows to perform measurements with an interval of 5-7 minutes, at this a complete cooling is not achieved.
